On December 22, 2025, Hau Giang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (DHG Pharma) officially announced that its Betalactam Factory has successfully achieved EU GMP certification (European Good Manufacturing Practice). This milestone affirms DHG Pharma’s leading position as a domestic pharmaceutical company owning both Betalactam and Non-Betalactam factories that simultaneously meet the dual international standards of EU-GMP and Japan – GMP.
The announcement ceremony was held in the presence of representatives from the Department of Medical Services Administration; the National Institute of Drug Quality Control (Ministry of Health); the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Drug Quality Control; the Center for Health Economics Research and Evaluation; the People’s Council and People’s Committee of Can Tho City; provincial Departments of Health, as well as the boards of directors of leading hospitals in Southern Vietnam.
Representing the Contractor Consortium, the ceremony was attended by Mr. Yukio Kobe, General Director of TTCL Vietnam Co., Ltd.; Mr. Le Dang Vinh, General Director of Construction Corporation No.1; and Mr. Nguyen Khoa Dang, General Director of Searefico Joint Stock Company.
The Betalactam Factory is located within the Betalactam Complex, covering an area of nearly 2 hectares at Lots B2–B3, Tan Phu Thanh Industrial Park – Phase 1, Thanh Xuan Commune, Can Tho City. The facility comprises two production workshops, including a Cephalosporin workshop with a capacity of 282 million units per year and a Penicillin workshop with a capacity of 420 million units per year. Once in operation, the factory will enable DHG Pharma to supply the Vietnamese market with high quality pharmaceutical products meeting global standards, while supporting its export expansion strategy and further strengthening the DHG Pharma brand image.
To achieve this significant accomplishment, the EPC Contractor Consortium led by TTCL Vietnam undertook a large-scale and highly complex scope of work, including the completion of more than 1,000 technical documents, procurement of over 83 equipment and material packages, construction of 6,500 m³ of concrete, installation of more than 800 equipments and preparation of comprehensive GMP documentation, covering Design Qualification (DQ), Installation Qualification (IQ) and Operational Qualification (OQ) for critical systems such as HVAC, compressed air, purified water, Building Management System (BMS) and Environmental Monitoring System (EMS). The project fully met DHG Pharma’s requirements with the highest technical standards.
